Published today in the International Journal of Nutrology, the ‘Consensus of the Brazilian Association of Nutrology on diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency’ brings a broad review of the scientific literature, and addresses concepts and recommendations on the management of the deficiency of this essential vitamin of the B complex.
Vitamin B12 deficiency is quite prevalent in all age groups and in all regions of Brazil, but there was a need for standardization of recommendations for clinical management. Considering this demand, ABRAN developed this comprehensive content on vitamin B12, with the essential support of Marjan Farma.
